This session will explore one side of creative place-making – creating work that emerges from mutually-beneficial partnerships that invite and engage different communities in the creation and production of the work, and that have lasting civic value after the project is completed.


Part 2 – Experience
5:45 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.
Whether it is reimagining a company’s traditional space or finding an alternative venue that has a history of its own and resonates with the theme of the opera, using the theater as part of the art-making can add meaning for new audiences and change the understanding of opera and the role it can play in the life of a community.
